Editorial policy
How authorship works
TattooGuide separates authorship, professional review and site maintenance. A guide only shows a role when that work has actually taken place.
Written by
The named author wrote the guide and is responsible for the practical tattooing content attributed to them. The author name links to a TattooGuide profile page with the contributor's professional subject areas.
Expert reviewed by
A separate tattoo artist may be shown as an expert reviewer when they have genuinely checked the material within their professional area. TattooGuide does not add reviewers purely for structured data or appearance.
Editorially maintained by
Vladimir Vishar created TattooGuide and maintains the site's editorial structure, technical publishing and corrections process. That role is separate from the authorship shown on an individual guide.
Professional experience and sources
Studio-practice statements can be based on professional tattooing experience. Health, legal and other externally verifiable claims use authoritative sources where appropriate. The source list on a guide is for those claims; ordinary tattoo-practice observations do not need decorative citations.
Health information
Aftercare, healing and other health-related content is general information, not medical advice. Tattoo artists are not presented as healthcare professionals. If you are concerned about your tattoo or your health, speak to a pharmacist, GP or the appropriate urgent-advice service.
Corrections and updates
Articles are updated when a correction is needed or something material changes, not on a fixed schedule. A page shows its updated date when a substantive change has been made. Significant clarifications may also be described on the page where that context helps the reader understand what changed.
Pricing information
Any prices mentioned on this site are estimates for general budgeting. Actual cost varies by artist, studio, location and the individual project, so the reliable figure comes from the studio doing the work.
Commercial relationships and recommendations
TattooGuide contributors may link to their professional portfolio sites where disclosure or author context makes that useful. The site does not publish paid rankings, fake "best artist" lists or keyword-stuffed links designed to promote a contributor's commercial website.
Using or quoting this content
When quoting or substantially referencing a TattooGuide article, please credit the named author and link to the original TattooGuide page. This is a request for attribution, not a claim that normal links, summaries or fair quotation are prohibited.
